A public hearing before the City of Spokane City Council was held on Monday, November 28, 2011, at 6:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, Lower Level of City Hall, 808 West Spokane Falls Boulevard, Spokane, Washington. This public hearing was for four applications for Comprehensive Plan Land Use Map Changes and one application for a Comprehensive Plan Text Change.
The City Council was briefed on the Comprehensive Plan Amendments on Monday, November 14, 2011 at 3:30 p.m. There was no public testimony at the briefing. The 1st Reading of the comprehensive plan amendments before City Council was Monday, November 21, 2011. The 2nd Reading and Public Hearing was held Monday, November 28, 2011. Public testimony was taken, and the City Council Deliberated on four of the five Comprehensive Plans. One Application was differed until December 5, 2011, in order for all Council Members to be present.

Description of Proposal: This proposed amendment is a set of approximately 100 minor text amendments (typos, clarifications, and corrections) proposed to be made to the Introduction, Goals, and Policies in chapters 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 of the City of Spokane Comprehensive Plan. None of these proposed changes are categorized as substantial changes to the Goals and Policies of the Comprehensive Plan. (Note: Chapter 5, Capital Facilities Program is excluded from any proposed amendments.)

Description of Proposal: Comprehensive Plan Land Use Map Amendment to change approximately six (6) acres from Office and R15-30 to Light Industrial with associated zone change from RMF and O-35 to LI.

Description of Proposal: Comprehensive Plan Land Use Map Amendment for 1 (one) parcel of approximately 41,555 square feet to be changed from R4-10 to R15-30 associated with a zone change from RSF to RMF.

Description of Proposal: Comprehensive Plan Land Use Plan Map Amendment for two (2) parcels of approximately 27,325 square feet (.62 acres) to be changed from R4-10 to Office associated with a zone change from RSF to O-35.

Description of Proposal: Comprehensive Plan Land Use Plan Map Amendment for 7 (seven) parcels of approximately 85,561 square feet (1.964 acres) to be changed from R4-10 to R15-30 associated with a zone change from RSF to RMF.
Council Decision: Deferred until December 4, 2011
